Membership Explained
The core categories of membership for summer and winter competition are Gold, Gold U16 and Silver. The Recreational category is designed for club training and recreational activities while providing access to competitions at the general public rate.
Gold Membership
Recommended for those who are likely to compete regularly. eg: 9 or more competitions throughout the summer.
FREE Entry for Season Launch, Summer Premiership and selected events.
PAID Entry for Adelaide Distance Series, State Championships and Winter events.
Eligible for all Australian Athletics Championships.
Gold U16 Membership
Same as Gold but you must be under the age of 16 at 31st December at the time of registration.
Eligible for all Australian Athletics Championships.
Silver Membership
Recommended for those who are likely to compete at up to 8 athletics competitions throughout the summer excluding State Championshps.
This is a 'pay as you go' membership option - pay the Athletics SA Membership (+ your club fee) and then pay entry fees for events.
You can upgrade to a Gold membership during the summer season and any fees already paid are discounted from the Gold membership fee.
Eligible for all Australian Athletics Championships.
Recreational Membership
Recommended for Club training activity and for those that will only compete occasionally during the year. Entry fees are the same as the general public fee for each event.
Eligible for Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships only.
Come and Try
Athletes that are new to Athletics SA have the opportunity to compete twice in a club competition (Season Launch & Copyworld Toshiba Summer Premiership) before taking out a membership.
If you are unsure which membership option to take out, start with a Recreational membership and you can upgrade at anytime throughout the season.
