5th April

Dear Athletes and Coaches,

National Champs is almost upon us.

As you have hopefully seen AA have released the Technical Regulations and Start Lists for Nationals earlier this week. If you haven’t found them already, they are on the AA web page for the event:

https://www.athletics.com.au/events/192836/

We are yet to receive the Athlete information from AA, but hopefully that will arrive soon.

Attached to this email is the Team SA Information Document which outlines contact information, uniform requirements, event check in, accreditation and bib pick up.

Physio services will be provided by our partners at Physio Smart.  They are looking forward to spending time and getting to know you all better.  It is our recommendation that if you already have your own physio that you continue to work with them over the Championships as familiarity can help performance.

*Note that any updates with relevant information will be posted on the Facebook page as well as in the ‘Latest information’ section on our website.

For relays, we will be putting the teams together as we get closer to the event from the list of athletes who indicated they wished to be considered for a team when they submitted their entry.  If you are not sure if you selected yes, or you have changed your mind and would now like to be involved with relays don’t hesitate to send me an email.  Wherever possible the aim is to have relay teams in place and announced the evening before the relay is due to take place.

There are a number of you who haven’t been to a National Championship before. My advice is to make sure you have enough time to get your bearings before your first event, know the time you need to be ready at the call room (and don’t be late), and most importantly have fun. If you have questions about anything don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.

I look forward to catching up with you all over the coming championships.

Kurt Olsen
