Athletics SA Brand Refresh 2023

Starting in 2022, Athletics SA has recently completed one of its strategic initiatives, being a brand review with the aim of repositioning it to support the achievement of Athletics SA’s vision and mission.

Vision – An active, connected community.

Mission – Grow athletics in South Australia by providing opportunities for all.

Several workshops with representatives from our club, athlete, official, coach and parent community were facilitated by external consultants, and feedback was gained through our summer season survey, and the findings have been telling in their insight.

The key insight being that Athletics SA and its clubs provides more opportunities and things to enjoy than you think. Barriers to entry were identified as us being for elite athletes; I don’t know what I don’t know; where do I start? Through the workshops and survey our community has told us that ‘no matter what your level, you are welcome; you will be with likeminded people; we offer a broad range of activities and pastimes to suit all talents, ages and ambitions; and you will feel better for the experience.’

This all adds up to everyone being ‘in the running’ at Athletics SA and the creative tagline the community has selected to bring these insights and work to life is ‘Good to Go’. No matter who you are or where you compete or even how you help, you are ‘Good to Go’.

The Board has also elected to refresh the existing Athletics SA logo, evolving it by incorporating more movement while keeping it in the ‘family’ of logos most Athletics Australia and State’s use to represent themselves.

We are thrilled to share the brand refresh with you to mark the start of the 2023-24 Summer Season.

Are you Good to Go for the 2023-24 Summer Season?

Brand updates on various communication pieces and key collateral like signage and banners will be rolled out over the coming months.

We hope that you all love our new design as much as we do!
