• Entry Standard

To compete in the Australian Athletics Championships and/or Australian Junior Championships, athletes must either meet elegibility requirements outlined in the Selection Policy after placing at the relevant State Championships, or equal/better the Athletics Australia entry standards. Queries on entry standards are to be emailed to competitions@athletics.org.au

• Age Catagories

Visit the event page for specifics on the age categories and requirements.

• Travel & Accommodation

For most interstate championship events, it is the responsibility of the athletes and coaches to manage their own travel, accommodation and transport to the event. The team information will specify otherwise.

• Documentation

Athletics SA requires, as part of the entry process, the athlete to confirm they have read and will abide by the athlete agreement form and if they have any medical concerns they will fill out and submit the appropriate form. Copies of these documents can be found on the relevant event information page.

• Uniform

State Team uniforms can be purchased through Athletics SA's official supplier VIVA Global Teamwear.

The minimum requirement for our State Team uniform is the competition kit (top & bottoms) as well as the State Team polo. 

Refer to the Technical Regulations for uniform requirements as they differ for open and under-age athletes. SA athletes should wear their Athletics SA walkout polo to the stadium and when not competing. When competing, athletes should wear their competition tee/singlet/crop top with Athletics SA tights or shorts (depending on whether in track, throws or jumps events).
