Register for Courses
Athletics SA, in conjunction with the SA Branch of the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association (ATFCA), is an Endorsed Coach Education Provider (ECEP). ECEP’s are able to deliver Athletics Australia’s nationally accredited coach education courses.
Course Content
The content of the courses vary depending on the course level. Generally the courses consist of a mixture of theory (presented in a seminar style format) and practical competency based assessment. Course content and more details will be made available to participants when registering for courses. More information about the course content can be found in the Coaching Pathways section.
Course Length
Courses range in length from one full day for the Level 1 Beginning Coach to two days for the Level 2 Club Coach. The requirements for courses changes as the level increases

Police Clearance
From the 1st of January 2011, new changes to child protection laws in South Australia come into effect. It is now a requirement that all accredited coaches have a valid police clearance. Athletics SA will need to sight a current police check before processing any accreditation and/or registration for participants that complete courses. Professional Development
As part of Athletics SA’s and the ATFCA’s commitment to providing opportunities for professional development of accredited coaches, a number of seminars will be offered throughout the year. These seminars cover a number of topics and all accredited coaches are encouraged to attend to increase their knowledge and network with other coaches.
